Shipping Confusion for X1 Blade for Hallux Rigidus
Contact Name: Thomas Duxxxx

Comments or Questions: Duplicate order:
Marcia D. ordered an X1 Blade: order #2867. We were notified the
order was rejected. I re-ordered: order #2871, which was shipped. We
were then notified order #2867 was shipped. I replied to that email
asking that you cancel order #2867, and explained it was now a duplicate
order. There has been no reply from Indian Brace.
What is the status of order # 2867?
Thank you, Thomas D.

New X1 Blade for 5th Metatarsal (Jones) Fractures
Clyde's x1 blade® for 5th metatarsal fractures - a treatment option for 5th metatarsal fractures (jones fracture) and post-op rehab. how does the x5 blade work? by loading the body and head of the 5th metatarsal on a more rigid but dynamic step (x5 blade®) this slight elevation unloads the base and tuberosity of the 5th metatarsal without restricting the entire foot. The X5 Blade is a great orthotic as a transition into an athletic shoe from a walking boot or shoe. Two models to choose from - athletic model (more robust) and non-athletic model for rehab. |

Forefoot Pain / Neuroma Pain Relief
Hello Clyde,
I received the X1 Blade for neuroma pain on Saturday. I put it in my tennis shoes
and have been trying to wear those shoes as much as possible. Kind of
hard when I have to dress up for work. I feel a little pressure when
exercising in the shoes but nothing like I used to. When I take them off
I do not have any pain in my foot. No swelling today in the foot. By
this time of the day I usually get swelling on the dorsal of my foot. I
will keep you posted.
Thanks again. If you design one for dress shoes, I will be happy to be
your research subject.
Hope all is well.

Toe Joint Pain/Hallux Rigidus Relief
I had surgery in January 2009 to remove a bone spur
on my left big toe. The doc said that this type of injury can stem from
turf toe. I had turf toe in high school (10 years ago) and never got it
treated. I began running longer distances (1 marathon, 2 halfs, 3rd in
november) 2.5 years ago and started having issues last year with pain. I
have the beginning of arthritis in the big toe joint.
I was contemplating a joint replacement but felt that this was too much too soon and just opted for the bone spur removal. I wasn't convinced that was going to work and felt it might prevent me even more from running. It took a while for me to get back into it as I didn't fully recover from the surgery for at least 3-4 months (doc said 1-2). He gave me a carbon fiber plate to put in my shoe but it definitely was not good for running as it stiffened the entire shoe and made running uncomfortable.
Luckily I found a different plate that is more flexible throughout but still stiff where you need it (beneath the big toe). It is called the X1-Blade made by indiana brace (http://02b20d1.netsolstores.com/X1BladeforTurfToePain.aspx) for help with turf toe. I found this extremely helpful in getting back into running. I read testimonials and talked to the guy who makes them. I recommend this before any other surgery and wish I knew about this 10 years ago.
Best of luck.
Mike, 28
