X1 Blade RTL Model for Sesamoiditis - A Question?

Hi,
I just got out of a cast from a sesamoid fracture.  I noticed you sell the X1 blade RTL for sesamoidosis and assume it would be good for sesamoid recovery.  I won't be able to begin running again for at least a few months, but I had a few questions on your product.
I have very wide, flat feet and already wear orthodics and was wondering if the X1 blade RTL could be placed on top of an existing device?  Also because I have an odd shaped foot, is there any customization of the X1 blade RTL?  I wear a size 15 shoe, so I'm already a bit hard to fit, but I'm guessing a too narrow orthodic might defeat its purpose. Charles Xxxx

Hi Charles and thanks for the question.  All my X1 Blades including the RTL model fit nicely under a shoes insole or an existing orthotic, there is no customization required with an X1 Blade, and I have many large athletes using X1 Blades for different pathologies. Size is not an issue. Clyde

X1 Blade for Sesamoiditis

Contact Name: Corey Phone: 860-429-XXXX Email Address: cdon687@XXXX.com Comments or Questions: I was diagnosed with sesamoiditis/metatarsalgia and was told by the Dr. to get some carbon fiber turf toe inserts. But I'm not sure what type of plate I should get, the sesamoiditis plate or the turf toe plate. I have already tried inserts with pads to off load pressure from the big toe.

Corey - try the X1 Blade Runner model for your combined issues. Clyde

Pain from Broken Sesamoid Bone

8/21/2012
Question for Clyde: Contact Name: Annette Phone: 320 XXX XXXX Email Address: XXXX@aol.com Comments or Questions: broke sesamoid bone on behind big toe and on the ball of foot looking for ready made insole to keep me up off that area Plus pad for the other foot so I don't damage that one also do you have this?
Answer: Yes, I have a very good insert for a fracture of the sesamoid bone. It is my X1 Blade Reverse Morton's Extension insert. It has a offset area under the great toe for unloading and pressure relief and a reinforement blade for stability. It is made of composite materials so is  ery thin (.040") and light (.070 oz.) and can be transferred easily from shoe to shoe. It is an excellent answer to relieve the pain caused by a fractured sesamoid.

X1 Blade with Reverse Morton's Extension - Ideal Applications

A super light weight  (.07 oz.) and extremely thin (.04") energy storing orthotic with reverse Morton's extension. Created by Clyde Peach, CO (ABC Certified Orthotist - 1978) of Indiana Brace to treat patients with sesamoiditis or hallux limitus.

Ideal application

Hallux Limitus - Clyde's X1's Blade with reverse Morton's extension reduces joint motion and off-loads the 1st ray reducing the jamming effect of functional hallux limitus. The X1 Blade's energy shell has multiple density zones so as  not to limit the entire foot, but adds an energy pop at toe off to help normalize assymetric gait.
Sesamoiditis - Clyde's X1 Blade with reverse Morton's extension - the reverse Morton's extension off-loads the painful sesamoids while at the same time  stabilizing them. The X1 Blade's energy shell has multiple density zones so as not to limit the entire foot. The X1 Blade also adds an energy pop at toe off to help normalize assymetric gait.
