The "job to be done" (Clayton Christiensen, PhD Harvard U.) was to create for users the thinnest, lightest and least restrictive turf toe/hallux rigidus orthotic in the world. To be used by those who suffer from turf toe or hallux rigidus pain. The X1 Blade Feather is that creation. It is the lightest and thinnest iteration in X1 Blade range since we began X1 Blade production in 2009. Over 6,000 X1 Blades have been created to help alleviate turf toe and hallux rigidus pain during competition. The job to be done was to create a turf toe/hallux rigidus insert that was totally unnoticeable and unrestrictive to the wearer. The only feeling I wanted for the athlete was the feeling of pain relief from either a turf toe injury or ongoing hallux rigidus pain during their competition. And based on our Beta testing feedback we have accomplished that goal with the X1 Blade Pro Feather.
