Bob from Tulsa Reviews X1 Blade
Dear Clyde,
I really enjoyed the orthotic for hallux rigidus. It feels great and not bulky.
Just what I was looking for but could't find until I searched the internet. I ordered 3 (to have in running shoe, golf shoe and back-up!).
I think the orthotic is great as I'm an active golfer and runner.
Thanks Bob Remxxxxxx

X1 Blade vs Common Carbon Fiber Plate - The Difference
Contact Name: Steve
Phone: 847 XXX XXXX
Email Address: sbxxxxxxx1157@sbcglobal.net
Comments or Questions:
I was wondering if you could tell me how your product differs from the Springlite Mortons toe plate. I was looking to have a set of 3.
Thanks, Steve
Hi Steve -
Springlite like all carbon fiber "plates" are like dinner plates. The density and material used is the same throughout the object. Thus the name "plate."
The X1 Blade on the other hand has density zones that change so as not to restrict the entire foot but only that zone under the great toe.
Also there is a significant difference in materials used. Common carbon fiber plates use a single unidirectional carbon material that make them brittle and restrictive. The X1 Blade utilizes four different materials (two composite, one glass, and one unique plastic) that increases the performance, life and durability of the X1 Blade over a common carbon fiber plate.
Also the coefficient of friction at the foot/blade interface is significantly lower in the X1 Blade vs. a common carbon fiber plate thus reducing the incidence of blistering under the great toe during competition.
Thanks for asking the question. X1 Blade "The best turf toe insert in the world1"

Marathon Runner from Belgium - Questions About X1 Blade
Contact Name: Gunther WXXXXXX

Comments or Questions:
Hello, I am suffering from a hallux rigidus for the last 10 months. So, I am looking for a solution. I am a marathon runner, or better I was.
Therefore I would like to know:
1) witch type I should best order
2) you also sent to Belgium
3) the transport costs.
Many thank for your feedback.
Gunther Wxxxxxx
Hi Gunther:
For running especially marathon I suggest " X1 Blade RTL." I do ship all over the world and the shipping cost (parcel post) to Belgium about 22 Euros - that does not include VAT or duties which might be an additional 20 Euros.
Thank for the inquiry.

San Diego -"Ouch! I Don't Want My Big Toe to Bend!"
Contact Name: Matt
Phone: 858-XXX-XXXX
Email Address: mtxxxxxxx@yahoo.com
Comments or Questions: I have not seen your product so I just wanted to
get clarification on the x1 blade for turf toe. Is the shearban material
underneath the big toe very rigid and nonflexible(such as carbonfiber
or steel)? I am looking for something very rigid that does not allow any
flex at the big toe joint as that is when my pain occurs. Anyways
thanks for your time and any input you have is appreciated. Email is the
best form of a response.
Hi Matt -
Hello Matt -
The ShearBan material is a low friction (slick) interface material I use on the X1 Blade Pro to reduce blisters and calluses caused by sliding against abrasive sock and shoe materials during sports.
The blade part of an X1 Blade under the ShearBan is a high density zone and will not bend.
The rest of the X1 Blade is flexible (low density zone) so as not to restrict the entire foot like a stiff carbon fiber plate (they call it a plate for a reason) or steel shank.
In answer to your specific question - "I'm looking for something very rigid that does not allow any flex at the big toe joint" the X1 Blade Pro will not allow the "big toe joint" to bend.
Matt, the X1 Blade Pro will stop the ouch!

Contact Name: Matt Phone: 858-XXX-XXXX Email Address: mtxxxxxsd@yahoo.com Comments or Questions: Thank you for your response to my prior question regarding the turf toe insole. If I were to place an order using the regular ground shipping for $5 do you have a general idea of how long it would take to get to San Diego (for a right foot size 9.5 for the $109 model if it's in stock)? Thanks again.
Hello Again Matt - Shipping to Sandiego about 3 days usin Priority Mail. Clyde
