Hi, Clyde.

 The insert seems to permit me to run – even to sprint! Terrific! It feels great to move fast (okay, I’m not a bolt of lightning at 47, but still). What is cool is that the insert is so strong but still vaguely gives (unless that is my foot giving).

 

Some other small aches and pinching due to the overall lack of give but I will work with that. I used a basic Nike Trainer shoe (my MBT’s don’t play well with the insert as they are not really flat inside).

I don’t think I need anything stiffer. And my sense is that the insert would still work in a more flexible (even minimalist?) kind of shoe also.

The insert just barely fits, which I think is good in general. But I would not mind having another pair that is a little shorter so it is not such a major endeavor to get them into a variety of shoes… UNLESS that extreme tight fit is part of the magic?

I would appreciate your view.

 Clyde, thank you for your follow-up.  I meant to contact you after receiving and using the insert.  My daughter was able to pitch that next weekend on the turf field thanks to the insert.  Her foot/toe still bothered her, but she was able to pitch.  Without the insert, I do not think she could have played at all.

  The injury is slowly but surely improving, and she is still using the insert for her lessons and practices.  Thank you very much for your assistance and your fine product.  Expensive, but worth every dime!

  I have been wearing the brace while attempting to overcome Capsulitis of the 2nd toe. The X1 Blade has provided a burst of confidence as this injury is somewhat painful due to my activity levels that include daily weight training, walking for cardio and participating in baseball (not softball) several days each week.
  
  Given my age (57) and activities it has been difficult healing this injury which is now in week #6. However, since wearing the X1 Blade over the past two weeks I have been able to reduce swelling and much of the associated pain.
  
   I am very pleased with the brace.

Clyde, It is working out very nicely. It has taken my toe from a nightly throbbing
and aching from normal daily movement to just small discomfort after
playing a tennis match that would have previously been impossible without
it. This has been a chronic injury for years and while not totally healed
it gets better each day. I feel I may finally be over the hump. Ron

I am very pleased with my blade!  

My Orthopedist recommended it to me for Gout.  

While I am still dealing with swelling in my left foot, the pain has completely subsided and I am using the blade every day.  I will be purchasing another one soon for my right foot before we leave for a hiking trip in Colorado.

Hi Clyde,

I have been looking for an insert for the pain in the ball of my foot and this looks to be perfect for my needs. I just have a couple of questions:

1) I will mainly be using the device to play football (soccer) and was just wondering what the 'relief pocket) found in the PRO+ version was, and what benefits it has.

2) I currently use Orthosole inserts, which do help a great deal. I assume the X1 will fit underneath insert.

3) Very importantly, do you ship to the UK (London). I tried entering the post code for a delivery estimate, but it returned an error. Also, I assume all sizes are 'one size bigger' as they are US sizes.
