X1 Blade - A Precision- Engineered Foot Orthotic That Won't "Steel" Motion

My X1 Blade® for turf toe or hallux rigidus is a unique energy harvesting pressure relieving orthotic. The precision- engineered X1 Blade® is designed to treat turf toe injuries or reduce hallux rigidus pain.

TMy X1 Blade Light, Runner, and Pro models reduce joint motion at the 1st MTP, absorbs shock, and returns beneficial energy.

The X1 Blade Pro has a thin piece of ShearBan® under the great toe and on the heal that reduces pressure and shear forces simultaneously.

The X1 Blade® adds a pain relieving spring at toe off that taping, bulky wraps, and/or rigid steel or carbon graphite spring lite plates don't and that actually restrict active motion and "steel" velocity.

Karen Reviews Her Son's X1 Turf Toe Blades

www.indianabrace.com wrote: Dear Karen, Thank you for your recent order for a pair of my X1 Blades. Did they meet your expectations? I would welcome any comments.

Thanks, Clyde

Yes! We ordered 2 pairs of them..this order was for the football ones.

This is really helping our son; he wears these in his cleats and has really helped his turf toe. Order # 3776 that we placed was for a 2nd set, but these are the "runner" ones. He uses these in his tennis shoes @ school, for his Athletics period. Those have also helped him.

Thanks.

X1 Blade vs Common Carbon Fiber Plate - The Difference

Contact Name: Steve Phone: 847 XXX XXXX Email Address: sbxxxxxxx1157@sbcglobal.net Comments or Questions:

I was wondering if you could tell me how your product differs from the Springlite Mortons toe plate. I was looking to have a set of 3.

Thanks, Steve

Hi Steve -

Springlite like all carbon fiber "plates" are like dinner plates. The density and material used is the same throughout the object. Thus the name "plate."

The X1 Blade on the other hand has density zones that change so as not to restrict the entire foot but only that zone under the great toe.

Also there is a significant difference in materials used. Common carbon fiber plates use a single unidirectional carbon material that make them brittle and restrictive. The X1 Blade utilizes four different materials (two composite, one glass, and one unique plastic) that increases the performance, life and durability of the X1 Blade over a common carbon fiber plate.

Also the coefficient of friction at the foot/blade interface is significantly lower in the X1 Blade vs. a common carbon fiber plate thus reducing the incidence of blistering under the great toe during competition.

Thanks for asking the question. X1 Blade "The best turf toe insert in the world1"

Bloomington, IN - X1 Custom Orthotics to A Farmer & Waitress

Clyde,

I want a pair of your X1 Orthotics for work.

I farm and waitress so I'm on my feet a lot. Not running but walking at all paces and standing. I also walk on uneven surfaces, i.e. when the farm is muddy or sandy.

So I would say pretty much everyday use.

Thanks - Alli

Hi Alli -

I would be happy to make you a pair of my X1 Orthotics, but I have a few questions few questions I need answered:

1. Take the insert out of your shoe and measure the length in cm then measure the width of the insert at the widest part in cm.
2. Describe your arch - flat, average, high.
3. Email a photo to me (clyde.peach@indianabrace.com) of the top side of the inserts you measured. 4. Briefly describe why you want a pair  (symptoms) of X1 Blade Orthotics, and how you will be using them ( all day, workout, work only, etc)?
5. Lastly I will need your height and weight.

Thanks - Clyde

Clyde,

Here's the info you requested:

a. Widest part of the insoles from my work shoes - 4 in (3 cm) and the longest part- 10 in.
b. My feet are very narrow and I pronate heavily.
c. I have small heels and high arches.
d. I have had a little hip pain, especially when i don't stretch enough.

Let me know if you have other questions. thanks i appreciate it.

Alli

Alli,

Thanks for the info.  We will begin fabricating your pair of X1 Orthotics.  You should receive them within 7 -10 days by mail.

Interesting Question from Hallux Rigidus Sufferer

Contact Name: aisha Phone: 217XXXXXXX Email Address: axxxxxxxxxh@hotmail.com Comments or Questions: Hello, I am somewhat confused by the hallux limitus/rigidus definitions (they seem to be used differently depending on if an ortho. surgeon or a DPM uses it). I have seen both and although I still have some ROM in my big toe(s), I also have arthritis and bone spurs on top of the big toe joints. 1.) Dr. told me to get a carbon sole. I delayed this because of my workouts (dance/fencing/weights, etc.) I am very ative, but now in pain, too. So I am unsure which one to order, and also, how to choose the size. I wear a 9/5-10 or 40, 41 in shoes, but my insoles measure between 10.25-10/50 inches. I have used numerous kinds of orthotics;the last one was a heavy duty full on orthotic w/Morton's extension-I wore it for 2 yrs. but it became too painful. I am buying a lot of shoes, looking for stiff soles, but my hope now is to find an insert that will remove having to live in huge clogs. I hope to call you tomorrow. Thank you! best, Aisha Lamb Sobh

I suggest due to the bone spur my X1 Blade with Reverse Morton's modification women's size 9. It should fit into any of your shoes and give you relief from your hallux limitus/rigidus during your workouts. If it dosen't send back for a full refund. Clyde

I Can't Believe I Found This Site!

Contact Name: TIM H........ Phone: 614....... Email Address: T.........@HOTMAIL.COM Comments or Questions: I can't belive i found this site. I have had hallux rigidus for 30 years. Very bad. my questions are I don't know which one to buy, because I do all the things that each one is good for, and do i place it over the original sole in my shoe.  I am still leary on if it works or not and if i buy just one foot now, will it make me stand or walk differnt. thank you. Tim

Get the X1 Blade Runner model and put it under the insole of your shoe and go walk. It will improve your ability to walk. Just buy one and there is a 100% refund policy. So your risk to try is only the shipping. Clyde Peach

X1 Has Made a Huge Difference in Walking Comfort

Ian Rxxx said...
I purchased the X1 a short while back and it has made a huge difference. Walking any distance was a nightmare but the improvement with the X1 insert was very significant. I have just ordered two more, one exactly the same and one for running. A bit expensive with current exchange rates SA Rand to dollar but still in my view a great product.

Hello Mr. Peach. Drew has been using the AcuStep orthotics since June of 2012 and they are showing some wear and tear. I wondered if we should order a set of replacements at this time. The original order # was 2781 if that is helpful. I appreciate your advice. Mary Schxxxxxxxx 317-XXX-830X

I would suggest replacing the AcuStep orthotics them if they are not giving the same support. Clyde

Contact Name: Fiona Phone: 0208 xxx xxxx Email Address: hot.txxxxx.xxxx@hotmail.co.uk Comments or Questions: Hi there, I believe when I fell very badly, almost a year ago now, that I broke my 2nd toe of my left foot. It has slowly become more and more crooked/deformed. It started with the first joint becoming rigid. Now the 2nd joint is causing my toe to be almost bent in half! I cannot wear ANYTHING apart from a 2year old pair of soft, leather pumps. I had Morton's Neuroma operated on in 2008. I used to be a ballet dancer & was fit as a fiddle. Obviously, I couldn't exercise during the many years of pain, prior to my neurectomy. Now, I can get about, using my car, sadly, I can't walk at the speed I would like to; sometimes I have pain on walking [due to my ? badly broken toe]. I'd like to go the gym; if only to do half hour on the rowing machine [less impact on the feet]. I'm not sure if I should go to the gym, as I don't want to aggravate my toe. My first ortho. appt. is not till August [NHS!] but I'm seeking a private opinion, sooner. Would any of your insoles be of benefit to me? In winter boots, I still wear [and still need] the hospital-prescribed insoles, post-Morton's Neuroma excision. Thank you. I'm rather excited, as the testimonials I've read are very encouraging! I want to get back to the way I was, before the fall. I'm a Registered Nurse, working in several schools, so need to be very mobile. Regards, F. ------------- Clyde's response - I suggest an X1 Blade medium shoe stiffner with a pair of New Balance MW 928's.
